Climate Policy Initiative: Bridging the Gap – Catalyzing Private Investment in Adaptation

Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is hosting the SF Climate Week event: “Bridging the Gap: Catalyzing Private Investment in Adaptation”, sponsored by ClimateWorks Foundation. Emilie Mazzacurati will be speaking in the panel discussion, “What’s Working, What’s Next?”, on Wednesday April 23rd from 1-2:30PM PT.

Join us for an afternoon of conversations with investors, sector experts, and entrepreneurs all focused on the private sector opportunities in climate resilience! There will be a networking session afterwards.

Mobilizing billions for adaptation will require innovation not only in climate solutions but in the financial structures that support them. This session convenes leaders from philanthropy, finance, and the private sector to share:

  • How non-commercial capital can be deployed effectively to de-risk and accelerate commercial investment in adaptation
  • Applicable lessons from cases of adaptation-focused finance models overcoming persistent market barriers
  • How climate risk information can be integrated into financing decision frameworks to inform risk and return assessment
  • Practical insights for deploying early-stage and risk-tolerant capital to build pipelines of investable adaptation solutions
