Carnegie Mellon Industry Workshop: Building Resilient Infrastructure

Emilie Mazzacurati will be at Carnegie Mellon University’s Spring Workshop for Building Resilient Infrastructure on March 13, 2025 in Pittsburgh, PA. The workshop, hosted by the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, involves keynote speakers and panel discussions. It will dive deep into strategies to enhance the resilience and sustainability of the built environment, while exploring new technologies that are emerging to help meet these challenges.

Emilie Mazzacurati will present on climate adaptation and resilience innovations in the built environment at this event.

Each speaker will also focus on the future of infrastructure development in the context of a rapidly changing climate and explore critical topics facing our industry, including:

  • How can resilience be designed, funded, and incorporated into infrastructure investments?
  • How do we determine and account for the possible cost of resilience?
  • How to initiate change and operationalize resilience engineering?
